1985 Ali Dahbashi and Saleem Ahmed join hands to start up DAHBASHI ENGINEERING.
DE's first office is shared with couple of Ali's other companies but soon the entire premises become DE's corporate headquarters.
The Workshop and Stores move from Ajman to a rented facility in Rashidiya, Dubai.
1986 DE wins Dubai Petroleum Company's Maintenance & Repair Contract for Mobile Plant + Vehicles at their Jebel Ali
Supply Base
Initial plan of long-term lease of Material Handling Equipment is put on the back-burner as the company grabs an
opportunity to plunge headlong into the Genuine Alternate parts business for Earthmoving machines
1989 DE joins the I.D.A. (Independent Distributors Association, based in the U.S.A., of like-minded businesses
involved in the field of Aftermarket parts, Service and Repairs of Earthmoving Equipment)
1992 DE opens its first branch in Sharjah
Abu Dhabi branch comes into existence in Musaffah
1994 DE sets up an Associate Dealership in India in the name of Int-A-Cat Parts & Services Pvt. Ltd.
1995 The company celebrates its 10th Anniversary over 3 days of fun-filled revelry. The event is attended by guests
from all over the world that include customers, suppliers and well-wishers
1997 DE moves into its purpose-built facility in the Al Quoz Industrial Area that houses the Corporate Headquarters,
Workshop and Central Stores, spread over a 7800 sq. m. area
1998 DE acquires the adjoining plot of land and starts building a new Central Warehouse. The existing one becomes
an exclusive Materials Handling Division's warehouse.
DE takes up membership of the DUBAI QUALITY GROUP.
1999 DE achieves both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification within the space of 6 months
2001 DE upgraded to ISO 9001 : 2000
2002 The Qatar joint venture with the Al Attiyah brothers is born
2005 Kuwait joint venture along with Khalid Al Hamdan goes on stream
2006 DE sets up the Bahrain joint venture with Al Jazeera Industrial Services
DE upgraded to ISO 14001 : 2004
2007 DE hooks up with Technique LLC to start up the Omani joint venture
In the same year, DE moves into Saudi Arabia to begin a joint venture with the Addar Group.
The first outlet is setup in one of Riyadh's Industrial Areas
The second Dubai Branch at Ras Al Khor goes into operation
2008 DE becomes the first company in Dubai to be issued a License to Store Dangerous Goods under Class 8, UN2794.
The second Branch of Saudi Arabia starts operation at Dammam
